[VIDEO, accidental] second page;

[Leo is sitting in the library, on the floor despite the empty chairs beside him. He is perfectly engrossed in his book, apparently uncaring of the blackbird that's currently... attempting to make a nest in/with his hair.]

Shh, Elly-chan, stop it. This is a good scene.

[idly looks to the side- then just smiiiiles]

Appropriately muzzled.

[identity profile] booksmacking.livejournal.com 2011-05-02 04:20 am (UTC)(link)
That sounds unpleasant for the bird.

[identity profile] knaveswitness.livejournal.com 2011-05-02 04:21 am (UTC)(link)
I don't like squawking that isn't Emily's~

[hrrrrrm]

What kind of bird did you end up with, Mister Break?

[identity profile] knaveswitness.livejournal.com 2011-05-02 04:28 am (UTC)(link)
[Break hums a moment, before he tugs on the string until he can coax a...

Wow, that is a kakapo on screen.]

[identity profile] booksmacking.livejournal.com 2011-05-02 05:54 pm (UTC)(link)
....Wow! I've never seen a bird like that~

[abandoning his book in order to dig around for something on birds instead]

[identity profile] knaveswitness.livejournal.com 2011-05-02 05:56 pm (UTC)(link)
He's quite fat.

[Break sounds a bit... put out.]

And he doesn't even fly.

[identity profile] booksmacking.livejournal.com 2011-05-02 10:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Um, let's see... Green, fat, can't fly... Not a parrot, those can fly and they're not quite that ugly. It's a... kakapo?

[As Leo moves, one can see that he actually has five birds attached to his body. Including the blackbird, there's also a tiny owl, a waddling dodo, what appears to be a miniature griffin, and an extremely ugly bird with sharp teeth and black wings.]

Stop tugging, Ella.

[identity profile] knaveswitness.livejournal.com 2011-05-02 10:14 pm (UTC)(link)
It's quieted down quite a bit now.

[That would be due to the muzzle of sorts on the thing, but, no matter.]

Yours, however... ?

[identity profile] booksmacking.livejournal.com 2011-05-02 10:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, did it talk like a parrot before? I bet it would be fun to teach one of those~

[idly flips through the book]

Mine are pretty weird. I can recognize the raven and the owl, but the others...

Are... odd?

[Says it like he... can see them quite well.]

[identity profile] booksmacking.livejournal.com 2011-05-02 10:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah.

[Ever heard a Jabberwock, Break? Because there's a mini one on the screen, chattering away.]

[identity profile] knaveswitness.livejournal.com 2011-05-02 10:25 pm (UTC)(link)
[We are going to have to ask Oz to describe these damn things, yes.]

Well, it surely isn't so bad~

[identity profile] booksmacking.livejournal.com 2011-05-02 10:27 pm (UTC)(link)
[still looking through the book]

Oh, I found one! It's called a dodo... What a silly name. Ella is much better~

[identity profile] knaveswitness.livejournal.com 2011-05-02 10:27 pm (UTC)(link)
A dodo...

[ah.]

What a silly name indeed~ Do keep searching!

[determined nod]

Eli looks like an eagle, but he has paws. I don't think that's normal. I don't see anything like that in this book.

[identity profile] knaveswitness.livejournal.com 2011-05-03 01:17 am (UTC)(link)
[Break has heard of something like that- but he won't mentio that~]

Not normal at all, really.

Perhaps your book will give you the answer.

[identity profile] booksmacking.livejournal.com 2011-05-03 03:25 am (UTC)(link)
Mm, I hope so.

I wonder what kind of birds Elliot's been stuck with.

I can't say I have a particular habit of looking after Nightrays, so you'll have to tell me~

I will when I see him next, Mister Break.
